Brooks school play: Peter Pan

Brooks was an Indian in the Ellison Park school play, Peter Pan. I was really surprised when he told me that he wanted to be in the play. I was ON BOARD and excited for him to experience something like this. The practices were twice a week for about 1 1/2 hours . Brooks slowly got tired of the practices but stuck it out. He did GREAT! He knew all of the dance moves and did very well singing the songs. I was so proud of him!

We had fun taking some pictures.

He did the play 3 times. So he was tuckered out by the end. But he informed me that he WOULD NEVER do a play again. He enjoyed the performance but didn't like going to practice. So we will see! Thank you to all of the family and friends that came and supported Brooks.

Dylan came  but it was a little past his bed time. ha!

Uncle Jase and Aunt Megan came to the Thursday night  performance and brought Brooks balloons. He was so impressed that Megan took the time to write in fancy writing on the balloons. :)

Thanks again to everyone that came! It was a really exciting time for Brooks! You did a great job Brooks and we are really proud of you!

Brooks 6 year birthday bash!

Brooks had his Bakugan birthday party on March 13. It was a lot of fun.

Here is the Bakugan cake I made.

Here is the Bakugan pinata that I made as well. You would think that Bakugan, being as popular as it is, would have these kinds of things in stores so I wouldn't have to stress out about making them. ha! I do what I gotta do for my Brooks!

Brooks started off by making an announcement..."Thank you all for coming. Now lets get this party started!" and then he let go of his balloon so it could fly around the room.  Brooks is so cute. The morning of his party he told me that he wanted to make an announcement before the party started and thought of this all on his own.

Brooks invited quite  few friends from his Kindergarten class, his primary class,  his cousins and friends that we consider cousins ( Mason and Addie).

We played pin the Bakugan on Dan.

THen, we played who can shoot their  Bakugan "shooters" at Jake! They LOVED that one. ha!

Last, it was time for the pinata! I was really impressed at how strong there little kids were. They didn't have a hard time breaking that pinata at all!

Present time! He LOVED all of his presents! Thanks to all!

TIme for cake!

We ordered this fitted hat that Brooks wanted and it didn't arrive until the afternoon of his party. Here he is in his new DC hat. What a handsome fellow!

Brotherly love! These boys love each other so much! I love that they have that relationship!

We ended our evening watching a movie on Brooks new projector. And yes, there is a half naked Chuck Norris in our bedroom. That is a whole other blog post ! ha ha!
Brooks had a great party! We love you buddy and are glad that you are in our lives!

Happy Birthday Brooks!

I cant believe that my baby is 6! Brooks is such a stud! This kids was so excited for his birthday that he woke up at 4 am and came in my room and told me that he was just TOO excited to sleep. I told him to go back to bed. Well, he came in my room many many times after that. He told me that he woke up at 2 am but didn't come in my room. UGH! Dylan even ran in my room when he woke up and said," MOM, it's Brooks birthday!" I love that Dylan was just as excited for BROOKS birthday.

YES, there is a R missing in the happy birthday sign. ha ha! It fell off the night before. HAPPY BITHDAY! ha ha!
Brooks LOVES Bakugan. So that is his theme this year. He is having a Bakugan party on Saturday.

Brooks got to pick out what he wanted for his birthday breakfast... cinnamon squares and crush cups.

My handsome guy!

I love Brooks so much. I still remember when he had curly hair. Brooks is such a great young man. He gives such heartfelt  prayers and is so close to the spirit.  He is really smart and does EXCELLENT in school. The teacher has nothing but praise for him. He is still a girl magnet...and he loves every minute of it! He is such a good big brother and helps me out so much with Dylan and Ryann. He is really good at following instructions and putting things together. He still loves to breakdance and can still do his famous head spin. I could go on and on about Brooks.

I was trying to get a good picture of the kids. There was always someone that was not looking or smiling...RYANN.

THis was after a few pictures. I love the boys faces. You can tell I am saying, " Okay, SMILE!"

Before we went out to eat, we went to Jakes church basketball game. Our ward has done so well.
Even in Jakes old age of 29, he still has what it takes to be a balla! ha!

Brooks wanted to go to Tepanyaki for dinner. We invited both Me-mas and Grandpas.

The Wrights

The Binghams

My boys

Ryann is so funny. She just sat back and enjoyed watching everyone. ..until the food started cooking.

There was the famous "throw the shrimp in your mouth and see if you can catch it" thing they do there. Everyone was a lot braver than me. I opted out! Brooks caught one in his mouth after a few tries. He was SO proud of himself. Luckily, Grandpa Wright caught it on video.

Brooks surprised us all by ordering Shrimp off of the menu. He ate it all. Dylan of course ordered steak. :)

THe Binghams knew the manager at Tepanyaki so we got hooked up with a few extras. WAHOO!

Brooks opened a few birthday presents too.

Happy Birthday my AWESOME Brookster! Mom and Dad love you so much!
