Today was BOTH boys first soccer game of the season. We were so excited because Dylan is old enough to play this year.
He couldn't wait to play soccer. We were talking about it all week. On Friday, we were watching a movie where a boy was playing soccer. The boy was holding the soccer ball. Dylan turned to me and said," Doesn't that kid know YOU CANT TOUCH THE BALL WITH YOUR HANDS???" He was already thinking like a soccer player. ha!
His team doesn't have a name yet. Brooks told Dylan to tell them to make their name be Blue Lightening since that was his team name his first year.
Dylan did GREAT! He was excited to have his buddy Andon on his team.
Dylan even made a goal! He was so cute cuz every time he did something good, he would give me a thumbs up. He even had a cheerleader to cheer him on.
Team colors and all, Ryann came to represent her big brother Dylan's team.
Dylan did so awesome for his first game. I think it really helped to have his brother, Brooks, to watch for a couple of years play soccer before he played. Dylan knew what he was suppose to do and had a smile on his face the whole time. We are proud of you buddy!
This is Brooks third year of playing soccer. His team is the Brown Dragons and his coach is one of our good friends, Greg Blue.
He was excited to have his friend Bryson on his team. We listened to loud music in the car to get him pumped up for the game. ( this is a tradition that Jake has taught him. :) ) Brooks and Dylan's games are crazy this year because they are either at the same time or right after each other so one of us has to leave early to get them there on time.
Brooks did great. He made a goal! HIs team is really good! The coach said it was because of his MAD coaching skills, but I think the kids are just plain awesome.
Brooks was super tough this game. He got kicked in the face and kicked a few other places and I about ran out on the field, but I held it together... just barely. Alright, Jake held me back.
Brooks also had a little cheerleader cheering him on too. And yes, I changed her cheerleading outfit in the car right after we left Dylan's game. Ryann has to represent BOTH of her big brothers. And she did it quite well, if I say so myself. Brooks you are an amazing soccer player and we are so proud of you!
A special thanks to both Me-mas for coming to both games. We love you!
