21 Weeks

Well, this pregnancy is a roller coaster. Right when I start to feel better...something happens. I went into the doctor today because I have been really sick. I have been blacking out, nauseated, cramping, the list goes on and on. Thanks to our AWESOME neighbors Greg and Amy, I was able to go to the doctors office kid free. Which was such a blessing! The doctor is really concerned. He took 6-7 tubes of blood. During the visit I got really sick, which made the doctor even more nervous. They are doing every test possible to find out what is going on. He checked my heart rate and it was really slow. My heart rate was 60 beats per minute when the normal women's is 76-80. So I had to go and do an EKG. The test came back that my heart is normal...just slow. There is another person that will check over the test to make sure nothing was missed. Dr. Johnson is not quite sure why its so slow. He said it could have to do with me being a runner, my thyroid, or for the fact that I am a runner and I haven't been able to exercise this pregnancy. I have to call later today to get some of my blood results back. They think I have been blacking out because my blood pressure drops and my heart isn't beating fast enough to make up for it...if that makes sense. It happens a lot when I am waiting in line so the doctor said that as soon as I feel hot and nauseated, I need to hurry and sit down and drink some water. The last thing we want is for me to drop to the floor at Walmart and have Brooks and Dylan not knowing what to do.

This has been such a difficult pregnancy, but it is so worth it. And luckily I have such a great husband and kids to keep me going. Jake is always there to listen, take care of me and help out with the things that I am unable to do. There is Brooks, who is always looking out for his mommy. The other day I was not feeling well and nauseated. So I made the kids lunch and didn't eat. Brooks looked at me and said,"Mom, aren't you going to eat lunch with us?" "No, honey, I don't feel well." "Mom, the baby is hungry, YOU NEED TO EAT." He is keeping me in check! Then, there is Dylan. He is my little self esteem booster. It doesn't matter what I look like...hair everywhere, pajamas on, no makeup...looking pretty bad, and he will look at me with his cute little face and say,"Mom you look beautiful." or " I like you hair mom." I am so blessed to have such a great family. I love you Jake, Brooks and Dylan!!!

Vegas Valentine Weekend

Jake and I decided to go out on one last vacation before Ryann is born . There was no way we could go to anywhere warm...which would have been ideal...but we decided to Vegas. Thanks to my mom, Jake's mom, and our good friend Alexis, we were able to go from Friday to Monday. So, I will show and tell you some of the fun things that we did there. Here I wanted to show you how big I am getting. I am 20 weeks here.

I am lucky enough to have a husband that likes the Phantom of the Opera. That is what we did for Valentines day. It was so awesome! The music, the special effects...I could go on and on. Jake got such great seats. We were on the 6th row. We were sooo close, which made the experience even better. Thanks Jake!

We stayed in the Venetian. This hotel was so nice. Our room had a king size bed, a huge bathroom, our own living area. We had three TVs. One in the bathroom, one in the bedroom, and one in the living room.
This was inside our hotel. It was nice to have a hotel that was not ALL casino. It looks like you are outside walking around, but you are really inside the hotel. They had gondola rides, shops, restaurants, and lots of fun stuff.
This is a funny picture. I wanted a caramel apple and this picture is suppose to give you an idea of how big the apple is. So I held it up to Jake's head. Look how cute he is! ha ha!
We were really lucky with the weather. It was suppose to rain the whole time we were there , but it was really nice. It only rained the day we came home.

DON'T WORRY MOM AND DAD AND JAKE'S MOM AND DAD! Nothing weird is going on here. Jake is at an oxygen bar. You sit there and breath flavored oxygen and get a nice back rub. The oxygen is suppose to help you relax and help with high blood pressure..which we all know, Jake would benefit from this. The guy said I could do it for free, but I passed. I thought it was a little strange. But I guess in smokey Vegas, you need all the smoke free oxygen you can get.

Of course we went to the Coke Factory. And who can resist taking a picture with the big, coke bear.

And I had a yummy cherry coke Icee.

Blue Man Group! It was so funny how many people thought they were taking a picture with a real person.

There are some really weird people in Vegas. Everyone is tring to make a buck! This guy did these robot sounds and could lean over SO far. Yeah, I didn't know he was going to pretend to kiss me. JAKE, TAKE THE PICTURE NOW! ha ha!

Did I mention there are some really weird people in Vegas.
We had a really good time. It was nice to get away for a few days. But by the end, we were grateful for our sheltered little Utah, and we really missed our boys.

Jake turned 28!

This post is a little late due to computer problems. Jake turned the BIG 28 on Feb. 3. He was happy that his birthday lasted for quite awhile. We had a party at my parents house, his parents house, and 2 at our house...one with friends and one with our little family. We love Jake so much and glad that he was born.

This was Jake's YUMMY cake!

Can he do it? Does he still have it in him to blow out ALL of the candles?

We invited our close friends Matt,Alexis, and their girls, and Curt, Terra, and their two munchkins. Curt and Terra are going to be moving to Alaska in the next few weeks so it was nice to be able to get together with the whole gang before their sad departure.

The kids always have a blast with all of the kids to play with. It doesn't matter the age, they all seem to have a lot of fun together. Brooks was sad to sad goodbye to Corbin. They have become really good buddies!

Our Cute Boys!

Our friend Jessica is an awesome photographer. She took some pictures of our boys and family on Saturday. She sent me these two so I can see how some of them turned out. I can't wait to get all of the pictures. She is so good! If anyone is interested in a great photographer, let me know and I can give you her information. I know I am just a proud mom, but I think my kids are pretty cute!
