What a LUCKY week!

Well, Jake and I are two of those people that don't have the best of luck. We don't typically win prizes or a drawing. But for some reason, that wasn't the case this last week.

Lucky day number 1: It all started last Wednesday. We went to an America First function that was going to be pretty boring, but we told the kids that they have some games there, so they were ALL for it. While we were sitting through all of the speeches when a lady sitting next to us gave us here raffle ticket. After a LONG bunch of speeches, and the kids were on their best behavior, they started the raffle. They would call out some numbers and if it matched your ticket, you would go and take a turn spinning the money wheel. The amounts went from $25-$100. The second number they called was the raffle ticket the the lady sitting next to us gave us. WAHOO! Brooks spun the wheel and won $75. Jake and I were in amazement!

Lucky day number two: Jake and I have a tradition that we go to at least one Jazz playoff game. So we went on Thursday night. During the game, they throw out prizes to the crowd. Now we were up in the nose bleeds so we don't get our hopes up on catching a prize. But tonight was different. They were throwing these big basketballs with a HUGE slingshot. They slung this ball up in our area but it wasn't close enough for us to get it. But some how, with the help of Jake and the rest of the crowd tipping the ball all over the place, it landed right into my lap. I grabbed it, and the guy next to me started fighting with me for it. HEY, I AM PREGNANT HERE!!! Once Jake saw the guy fighting with me for it, he pulled the guys hands off of the ball. I WON!!!

Lucky day three: Saturday was such a busy day for us. It started out with a few tests that I had at the Tanner clinic. Then, Brooks had a Primary activity. So after Dylan and I dropped him off, I took him on a doughnut date. We love going to Krispie Kreme to get a free doughnut. But I guess they have stopped giving free doughnuts out. But the lady working there gave us one anyways. So we ate our doughnut and looked at how the doughnuts are made. Then, I saw a neighbor that worked at Krispie Kreme. She is really nice, but I have only really had one conversation with her. She stopped what she was doing, once she saw us, and came over and gave us a dozen doughnuts. SCORE!!!

These might seem like small things, but for US, THEY WERE AWESOME!!!

Awesome luck!!!! Who got to keep the $75??? :) That would buy a lot of doughnuts!!! Once I was at a college basketball game and they were throwing t-shirts out...it landed right in my hands and I missed it. The guy who I hit it into still gave it to me though. :) Congrats on the cool week...I love it when things like that happen.
